We are a Charismatic church linked to Elim Pentecostal Church located close to the centre of the city of Liverpool.

Our History
City Church was formed in 1988. Our present Pastor, Dave Latham, along with his wife Sue and four children, took over the leadership in 1996 . Before that Dave was the Pastor of a charismatic Baptist church in Liverpool and prior to that he was a missionary in Zimbabwe.
We believe that the Lord has released a word to "take the City". We understand that in order to do this we must work in relationship and partnership with others and this has led to the setting up of a "Wider Leadership Network" to support and encourage other Christian leaders across Merseyside.
We have been privileged and blessed to have a number of different nationalities represented amongst us including those from Eastern Europe, Central America, South America, Africa, and South and South East Asia. For a number of years we have run a "Language School" originally set up to support refugees and teach them English.
We support the work of Together For The Harvest, an association of churches from across the Mersey Region, working together to reach every man, woman and child with a credible presentation of the Good News about Jesus Christ, and working to see Christian values influencing our society.
